YAHWEH: THE LORD Who IS All You NEED, Pt. 1

1. Realize The LORD is all you need because He alone has the POWER to make
ANYTHING happen you need done.

Genesis 2:4 (ESV) – These are the generations of the heavens and the earth when they were
created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens.

LORD – yhwh; Phonetic Pronunciation: yehovah. (The) self-Existent or Eternal; Jehovah, Jewish
national name of God: Jehovah, the Lord. He has always existed and will always exist.

Created – bārāʾ; Phonetic – baw-raw. “to create, make.” This verb has theological significance
because it has only God as its subject. Only God can “create” from nothing, communicating the
sovereign power of God.

2. Realize The LORD is all you need because He knows EVERYTHING you’re DEALING
with.

Exodus 3:7-9 (ESV) – Then the LORD said, “I have surely seen the affliction of my people who
are in Egypt and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters. I know their sufferings, 8 and
I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of
that land to a good and broad land, a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the
Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites. 9 And now,
behold, the cry of the people of Israel has come to me, and I have also seen the oppression with
which the Egyptians oppress them.

A. The LORD knows WHO you are,

B. The LORD knows WHERE you are

C. The LORD knows WHAT you’re going through.

Exodus 3:7-10 (ESV) – Then the LORD said, “I have surely seen the affliction of my

their sufferings, 8 and I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians
and to bring them up out of that land to a good and broad land, a land flowing with milk
and honey, to the place of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the
Hivites, and the Jebusites. 9 And now, behold, the cry of the people of Israel has come to
me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them. 10 Come,
I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring my people, the children of Israel, out of
Egypt.”

Psalm 91:2-3 (NLT2) – This I declare about the LORD: He alone is my refuge, my place
of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. 3 For he will rescue you from every trap and
protect you from deadly disease.

Daniel 6:27 (NLT2) – He rescues and saves his people; he performs miraculous signs
and wonders in the heavens and on earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the
lions.

2 Timothy 4:18 (NLT2) – Yes, and the Lord will deliver me from every evil attack and will
bring me safely into his heavenly Kingdom. All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.

Exodus 3:8 (ESV) – and I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the

with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the
Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.”

has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those
who love him.”

2 Peter 3:13 (NLT2) – But we are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth he
has promised, a world filled with God’s righteousness.

3. Realize _________________ is all you need because God ______ who He
says He _____.

Exodus 3:11-15 (ESV) – But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh
and bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?” 12 He said, “But I will be with you, and this
shall be the sign for you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of
Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.” 13 Then Moses said to God, “If I come to
the people of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and
they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ what shall I say to them?” 14 God said to Moses, “I AM
WHO I AM.” And he said, “Say this to the people of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’ ” 15
God also said to Moses, “Say this to the people of Israel, ‘The LORD, the God of your
fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to
you.’ This is my name forever, and thus I am to be remembered throughout all
generations.

I AM – hāyâ;

Matthew 14:25-27 (ESV) – And in the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking
on the sea. 26 But when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and
said, “It is a ghost!” and they cried out in fear. 27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them,
saying, “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.”

Numbers 23:19 (NLT) – God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he
does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised
and not carried it through?

Hebrews 13:8 (ESV) – Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
