Scripture Reading:
Romans 12:17-21 (NLT2) – Never pay back evil with more evil. Do things in such a
way that everyone can see you are honorable. 18 Do all that you can to live in peace
with everyone. 19 Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger
of God. For the Scriptures say, “I will take revenge; I will pay them back,” says the
LORD. 20 Instead, “If your enemies are hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them
something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals of shame on their heads.”
21 Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good.
1. You must LIVE in a way that allows GOD to deal with your ENEMIES.
Romans 12:19-20 (ESV) – Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath
of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”

Wrath –
Psalm 94:1-2 (ESV) – O LORD, God of vengeance, O God of vengeance, shine forth!

you.
Romans 12:20 (NLT2) – Instead, “If your enemies are hungry, feed them. If they are
thirsty, give them something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals of
shame on their heads.”
Proverbs 25:21-22 (NLT2) – If your enemies are hungry, give them food to eat. If they
are thirsty, give them water to drink. 22 You will heap burning coals of shame on their
heads, and the LORD will reward you.
Romans 2:5-6 (NLT2) – But because you are stubborn and refuse to turn from your
sin, you are storing up terrible punishment for yourself. For a day of anger is coming,
when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed. 6 He will judge everyone according to
what they have done.
Leviticus 19:18 (ESV) – You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the
sons of your own people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD.
