Scripture:
Ephesians 1:15-23 (NLT2) – Ever since I first heard
of your strong faith in the Lord Jesus and your love
for God’s people everywhere, 16 I have not stopped
thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly,
17 asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so
that you might grow in your knowledge of God. 18 I
pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that
you can understand the confident hope he has given
to those he called—his holy people who are his rich
and glorious inheritance. 19 I also pray that you will
understand the incredible greatness of God’s power
for us who believe him. This is the same mighty
power 20 that raised Christ from the dead and seated
him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the
heavenly realms. 21 Now he is far above any ruler or
authority or power or leader or anything else—not
only in this world but also in the world to come.
22 God has put all things under the authority of Christ
and has made him head over all things for the benefit
of the church. 23 And the church is his body; it is
made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things
everywhere with himself.
Ephesians 1:15-18 (NLT) – Ever since I first heard of
your strong faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for
God’s people everywhere, 16 I have not stopped
thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, 17 asking
God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to
give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might
grow in your knowledge of God. 18 I pray that your hearts
will be flooded with light so that you can understand the
confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy
people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.
Ephesians 1:17-18 (NKJV) – that the God of our Lord
Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the
spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,
18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened;
that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what
are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
1. You need to realize GOD has ALL the POWER
you need to become great for Him.
Ephesians 1:19a (NLT) – I also pray that you will
understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for
us who believe him.
Power –
Ephesians 1:20-21 (NLT) – that raised Christ from the
dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right
hand in the heavenly realms. 21 Now he is far above any
ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—
not only in this world but also in the world to come.
Ephesians 1:22a (NLT) – God has put all things under
the authority of Christ . . . . .
Ephesians 1:22b-23 (NLT) – . . . . and has made him
head over all things for the benefit of the church. 23 And
the church is his body; it is made full and complete by
Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself.
Jeremiah 32:17 (NLT) – “O Sovereign LORD! You
made the heavens and earth by your strong hand and
powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for you!”
Luke 1:37 (NLT) – “For nothing is impossible with
God.”
Matthew 19:26 (NLT) – Jesus looked at them intently
and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with
God everything is possible.”
2. You need to realize GOD wants you to use
His POWER to CHANGE your LIFE.
Ephesians 1:19-20 (NLT) – I also pray that you will
understand the incredible greatness of God’s power
for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power
20 that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in
the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly
realms.
A. The power to raise Jesus Christ shows that
God has the power to conquer ANYTHING
you face in LIFE.
2 Corinthians 12:9 (NLT) – Each time he said, “My
grace is all you need. My power works best in
weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my
weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work
through me.
Romans 8:37 (ESV) – No, in all these things we are
more than conquerors through him who loved us.
B. The power to raise Jesus Christ shows
that God has the power to give you a new LIFE
no matter WHAT your SITUATION.
Romans 6:4 (NLT) – For we died and were buried with
Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from
the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we
also may live new lives.
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NLT) – This means that anyone
who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The
old life is gone; a new life has begun!
3. You need to understand God’s POWER is only
available when you BELIEVE and put your TRUST in
The LORD JESUS CHRIST.
Ephesians 1:19-20 (NLT) – I also pray that you will
understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for
us who believe him. This is the same mighty power 20
that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the
place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly
realms.
Believe –
2 Corinthians 4:14 (NLT2) – We know that God, who
raised the Lord Jesus, will also raise us with Jesus and
present us to himself together with you.
Ephesians 3:20 (ESV) – Now to him who is able to do
far more abundantly than all that we ask or think,
according to the power at work within us,
Colossians 2:12-14 (NLT) – For you were buried with
Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were
raised to new life because you trusted the mighty
power of God, who raised Christ from the dead. 13 You
were dead because of your sins and because your
sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made
you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. 14 He
canceled the record of the charges against us and took
it away by nailing it to the cross.
