Scripture:
Psalm 135:1-5 (ESV) – Praise the LORD! Praise the
name of the LORD, give praise, O servants of the LORD,
2 who stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of
the house of our God! 3 Praise the LORD, for the LORD
is good; sing to his name, for it is pleasant! 4 For the
LORD has chosen Jacob for himself, Israel as his own
possession. 5 For I know that the LORD is great, and that
our Lord is above all gods.
1. To be who God wants you to be you must make

left for Galilee, going to the mountain where Jesus had
told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped
him—but some of them doubted! 18 Jesus came and told
his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven
and on earth. 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all
the nations, . . . .
*The purpose of the church is to MAKE DISCIPLES.
YOUR PURPOSE AS A CHRISTIAN IS TO
BECOME A DISCIPLE & MAKE DISCIPLES!
Make Disciples – mathēteuō;
John 8:31 (NLT) – Jesus said to the people who believed
in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to
my teachings.
John 15:8 (NLT) – When you produce much fruit, you
are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my
Father.
2. To be who God wants you to be you must DO
whatever it takes to MAKE disciples of JESUS
CHRIST.
Matthew 28:19-20 (NLT) – Therefore, go and make
disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of
the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach
these new disciples to obey all the commands I have
given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always,
even to the end of the age.”

people to conversion/salvation. (EVANGELISM)
B. TEACH them. . . . to obey (20) – FOCUSES ON
