BEING A BELIEVER EVERYDAY

Rom 12:1; Selected Scriptures

2. Scripture Reading:

Ephesians 4:1-6 (ESV) 1 I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, 3 eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

1. You need to realize you receive MERCY from GOD EVERYDAY!

Romans 12:1 (ESV) – I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.

Romans 12:1 (Phillips NT) – With eyes wide open to the mercies of God, I beg you, my brothers, as an act of intelligent worship, to give him your bodies, as a living sacrifice, consecrated to him and acceptable by him.

2 Corinthians 1:3 (NKJV) – Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,

Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV) – The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; 23 they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Romans 3:23-24 (NLT) – For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. 24 Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.

Romans 5:8 (NLT) – But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.

2. You need to continue to GIVE God your BODY in response to the MERCY God shows you.

Romans 12:1 (ESV) – I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.

Psalm 139:14 (ESV) – I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.

Romans 8:9 (ESV) – You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.

Philippians 1:20-21 (ESV) – as it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now
as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death. 21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

Romans 6:13 (ESV) – Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness.

Romans 12:1 (ESV) – I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (ESV) – Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, 20 for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
